Our company is sending (applicant´s name) to the Argentine Republic in order to (reason for the trip) from (date of arrival) to (date of departure).

While in Argentina, (applicant´s name) will visit (full names, addresses and telephone numbers of all businesses you will contact in Argentina, including the name and position of your references in every company).

Our company assumes moral and financial responsibility for (applicant´s name) including the return fare to the United States.

Requirements
If you wish to travel to Argentina for a short period of time (up to 90 days) for any of the following purposes:
· Holiday or family visit · Speakers or attendants at a conference, symposium
· Business or seminar
· Specialised technicians
· Journalists, photographers and other representatives
· Musicians and stage artists of the media
· Participants in sport events · Religious workers
· Visiting professors · Transit to another country
You must present:
I. BASIC SUPPORTIVE DOCUMENTS
- Your original passport or travel document: must be valid for a minimum of six months from the date you submit your application and have at least one completely blank page.
- A completed application form: all questions on both sides of the form must be answered.
- 1 recent passport style photograph
- The processing fee: Holiday: US$ 30 (free for Indian citizens). Transit: US$ 20 (free for Indian citizens). Religious workers: US$ 30. All other purposes: US$ 50. Fees shall be paid by MONEY ORDER ONLY (make it payable to the "Consulate General of Argentina in New York").
- Evidence of your current Immigration status in the USA: i.e. Alien Registration Card, Advance Parole Document, Employment Authorisation Card, valid Visa, valid forms IAP66, I-94 / I-20 (signed on the reverse by designated school official). Please provide original documents plus copies.
- Evidence of funds: credit card and last bank statement or traveller checks, amounting to at least US$ 150 per day for the term of intended trip. Please provide original documents plus copies.
- Itinerary: confirmed roundtrip flight reservation
II. ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS. You must also present any of the following that apply to you:
- Applicants for Business Visa: A letter from your employer in the USA confirming the purpose of your trip, as well as duration of the visit, full names, addresses and telephone numbers of all businesses and persons you will contact in Argentina, and whether your employer assumes moral and financial resposibility while you are in Argentina. If you own the business, please add a copy of your business´ last tax return including the check providing the corresponding payment. The letter must be written in -or translated into- Spanish, on company letter-head paper and duly signed by the person in charge.
- Specialised technicians; musicians and stage artists; participants in sport events; speakers or attendants at a conference, symposium or seminar; visiting professors: A letter of invitation from the host organization or business in Argentina inviting the applicant and confirming the purpose of your trip, duration of the visit, full name, addresses and telephone numbers of all businesses and persons you will contact in Argentina, and whether the host organization or business assumes moral and financial resposibility while you are in Argentina. The letter must be written in Spanish, on organization/company letter-head paper and duly signed by the person in charge.
- Journalists, photographers and other representatives of the media: a letter from your employer in the USA or a letter of invitation from your business contact in Argentina.
- Religious workers: a letter of invitation from the host church or religious organization in Argentina confirming the sort of activities to be developed (pastoral, community assistance, social/welfare work, teaching, etc.), the full name, address, telephone and fax numbers of the church or religious organization where such activities shall be carried out and the name of the responsible authority. Religious workers shall pertain to an officially recognized worship and the authority signing the invitation letter must have registered his signature before the Secretariat of Worship (Secretaría de Culto) of the Argentine Republic.
- Applicants for Transit Visa: roundtrip air ticket and visa for the country of your final destination.
TAKE NOTE:
Citizens of some countries may be requested to present themselves at our offices for a personal interview and/or to complete in person the application form, or required to provide additional information and documents including the original flight ticket and/or to pay a higher processing fee (up to US$ 100). You should, therefore contact our offices at least thirty (30) days prior to the proposed date of departure to avoid inconveniences.
FAILURE TO PROVIDE ANY OF THE DOCUMENTS AND INFORMATION REQUESTED MAY DELAY THE PROCESSING OF YOUR APPLICATION.
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RELEVANT LAW OF THE ARGENTINE REPUBLIC AND THE INTERNATIONAL PRACTICE, THE CONSUL IS ENTITLED TO REFUSE THE VISA.
III. PROCESSING TIMES
Applications submitted in person before 12:00 pm are generally processed in 24 hours. Travel documents different from a passport (e.g. US Reentry Permit or Refugee Travel Document, Republic of Korea Travel Certificate) and applications by religious workers require a longer processing time (up to 10 working days). Citizens of some countries may be subject to a waiting period of up to 3 weeks.
Applications submitted by mail are generally processed in 48 hours of receipt. Please allow 5 business days for mailing. You should send a prepaid, self-addressed return envelope. For the security of your documents we strongly recommend that you use express, registered or certified mail or courier services (i.e. DHL, FedEX, UPS).
IV. WHERE TO APPLY FOR A VISA
You should normally apply at the Argentine consulate or consular section in your place of residence (country, state or city). Therefore, you may apply at our offices if your place of residence or your place of work (in case of applicants for Business Visa) are in the States of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachussets, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
